Yard Operator (Finance)
POSITION SUMMARY: The operator performs operational work related to loading/unloading trucks and railcars, keeping yard inventory and general housekeeping for the yard and the shop areas.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Load and unload trucks/railcars which involves operating a frontend loader and manlift
- Perform general inside housekeeping and outside housekeeping involving physical labor such as moving wood (up to 3-lbs), cabling railcars
- Participates and contributes to company safety program.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
- Keeping inventory both physical and on paper and coordinate with a region office
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Experience: Previous equipment operator experience preferred
- License/Certification: none
- Good eye/hand coordination
- Attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and by yourself
- Ability to work with hand tools and the occasional power tools
- Experience with Microsoft excel, emailing and
- Ability to work outside and in inclement weather at times
