As aLicensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Nystrom & Associates,you will play an important role in providing high-quality patient care to our Psychiatry patients. You will work alongside our Psychiatry providers, returning phone calls to patients regarding the side effects of medication; refilling medication to area pharmacies; calling insurance companies for verification on medications, and completing necessary authorizations for medications. There is little to no physical contact with patients in this role as such there are no weekends, evenings, holidays, or on-call hours! Responsibilities include: Triaging calls from patientsTaking calls for lab resultsTriages incoming lab results, medical reports, refill requests, etc. to MD/APRN/PAs in a timely fashionMaintains legible and organized patient records Requirements: Unrestricted MN nursing license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)Comfortable with little to no physical patient contact on a day-to-day basisExperience with mental health care preferred, Knowledgeable about psychotropic medicationsComputer and tech-savvy; experience with Electronic Medical Records Hours: General daytime hours, Monday through Friday 9 AM - 5:30 PM.
