Edgebanding Operator (Doors Dept. - 07:00 am until finishing)) (Project Management)

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

The Edgebanding Operator is responsible for the overall operation of the edgebander, make the necessary adjustments for the different materials, preventive maintenance and housekeeping tasks are also appointed.

Essential Functions and Duties:

Responsible for ordering material as needed for daily schedule.
Responsible for the quality of the processed pieces
Responsible for preventive maintenance action items performed daily at company standards.
Responsible for completing the daily scheduled work.
Responsible for leading by example in regard to attendance, PPE requirements, breaks, and to "Drive" compliance in all
areas.
Additional duties as assigned by Doors Dept. Supervisor.

Job Specifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Must be able to set up the bander for optimum performance.
Must be able to perform basic math skills and the ability to read a measuring tape.
Must have a strong sense of urgency in accomplishing hourly goals.
Must have a basic ability for reading and writing.

Education and Experience
Must have a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. Will take work experience in lieu of Education.
Physical Requirements and/or Working Conditions
Factory environment, possibly including heavy lifting, and areas where eye protection, hearing protection, and respirators are required.
