Job Summary: The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing electrical and electro-mechanical systems components to improve performance, efficiency, and reliability. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve engineering challenges, support product development, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. This positon will include design, analysis, 2d and 3d modeling, and prototyping. Design, analyze, and develop electrical or electro-mechanical system components to meet performance and reliability requirements. Develop electrical layouts, schematics, and wiring diagrams to meet specifications. Adhere to company revision and configuration management process. Conduct electrical system validation designs and optimize performance. Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to support production and ensure design manufacturability. Ensure compliance with applicable standards, such as ISO 9001, AS9100, IEC, NEC, and MIL-STDs Follow company quality and safety standards Lead or contribute to research and development initiatives, including prototyping and testing new concepts. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including specifications, reports, and drawings. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies. Support new product introduction and continuous improvement initiatives. Participate in cross-functional teams to address technical challenges and support business objectives. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: Must be a U.S. citizen and meet any other federal program requirements. Ability to obtain a CAC Card; Secret clearance a plus. Strong proficiency in engineering software tools, such as CAD and MATLAB Knowledge of electrical design principles, system integration, and analysis techniques. Experience in 3 phase power a plus Experience in 400Hz AC and 270V DC a plus Experience in development of MIL-STD EMI shielded Wire harnesses a plus In-depth knowledge of ASTM E1851-15, IEEE 299, MIL-STD-285, MIL-STD-188/125, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464 a plus Ability to use shop/prototyping equipment to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical abilities. Strong hands on prototyping skills Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Ability to troubleshoot and analyze design issues both in prototyping and production environments. Ability to travel to customer sites to support technical training, demos, and/or product support Education and Experience: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field is required. Will consider non-degreed, if relevant work experience acceptable to meet job qualifications 2-5 years of experience, with a focus on design, development, or manufacturing.
