Beautician (Personal Services)

Primary Job Purpose: Providing a full range of beautician services to Eben Ezer neighbors. Including, but not limited to; haircuts, shampoos/sets, permanents, coloring, manicures and pedicures, in accordance with currently approved methods and practices applicable to the beautician's specialty and Eben Ezer's neighbors.
Customer Service: Adherence to the MOSES program to include Mission, Ownership, Success, Excellence, and Service.
Essential Job Functions:
Qualifications, Education, and Experience: Must be a licensed beautician in the State of Colorado. Must be able to stand for long periods of time and perform customary duties of a beautician. Must be able to bend, stoop, and reach as required in the daily course of work. Must have the ability to work as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude. Experience working with older adults is preferred. Current CNA certification is preferred, but not required.
Required Experience/Skills: Must manage time well and be flexible so that neighbors can be re-scheduled if they refuse to come at their scheduled time or are ill. Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing and cooperate with many departments. Schedule beauty shop appointments so that all neighbors who request this service are being accommodated either by coming to the shop or receiving the service in their room.
Material and Equipment used, but not limited to: Sheers, electric clippers, chair lift, hair dryers, curling irons, and chemicals normally found within a beauty shop environment. As well as telephone, calculator, copier, and fax machine.
Working Environment/Physical Activities: Working in a beauty shop as well as throughout the community, including resident rooms. Sits, stands, bends, walks, reaches, lifts, pushes neighbors in wheelchairs, and moves intermittently during working hours. Employee may be subjected to hostile and emotionally upset neighbors and/or families.
Working Hours: Position is 32 hours/week and requires working M-F, some weekends, and some holidays as scheduled. Schedule may vary, based on needs and supervisor discretion.
Working Location: This is not a remote position and work must be performed in-person.
