Workers' Compensation Supervisor (Project Management)

Position Summary
The Workers Compensation Supervisor facilitates communication and service utilization as necessary for our patients. Ensures appropriate treatment plans achieve a balance between quality of care and cost-effectiveness. Supervision of Workers Compensation Associates. Also, performs all functions of a Workers Compensation Associate.

Essential Job Functions/Accountabilities
Manages the operation and performance of the Workers Compensation staff. Ensures timely completion of the Performance Appraisal process. Coordinates work assignments and schedules. Ensures that all staff complete Mandatory Organizational Education (MOE) training annually. Monitors attendance and edits time and attendance records as required.

Organizes and delegates work in an effective manner, establishing appropriate time frames for completion of work, and providing the necessary leadership to ensure effective work results.

Provides continued training to physicians and staff on workers comp process, policies and procedures. Ensures continued development and education of self and staff.

Focuses on medical appropriateness of care with cost savings by coordination of services with return to work and productivity as soon as medically feasible.

Provides telephone case management to patients with Workers Compensation injuries.

Resource to satellites for Workers Compensation issues.

Identifies barriers to recovery and implements plan to overcome the obstacles.

Communicates with appropriate physicians and employers as needed. Works well with patients, physician(s) and other CCOC employees.

Participates in Quality Assurance activities.

Participates in developing policy and procedures relating to Workers Compensation.

Acts as liaison with attorneys, employer representatives, employers, and physicians regarding Workers Compensation claims.

Prepares and monitors Workers Compensation department volumes with recommends goals for growth of the service line.

All other duties not specifically assigned.

Position Requirements
Education: High School diploma or GED required. Associate degree or higher preferred.

Experience: A minimum of three (3) years Workers Compensation case management experience. Three (3) to Five (5) years of demonstrated leadership experience preferred.
