In consultation with graduate program director, approve plan of work, reduced course load requests, CPT, and OPT. Troubleshoot any issues or concerns with graduate course selection, registration, holds, and progression.
Assist thesis and PhD students with committee requirements, setting up qualifying exams, applying for candidacy, and additional dissertation-related items.
Manage admissions for our PhD program. Download applications from Archivum, track, and collect reviews from graduate faculty.
Work to position students to meet requirements for graduation within appropriate periods of time while preparing them to meet future goals.
Advise academic integrity cases and at-risk students that are on P1, P2, or P3 status, assisting in exploration of academic programs, and focusing on academic direction, procedures, policies, and available resources.
Maintain advising records and confidential student records. Track enrollment data for our graduate programs.
Disseminate graduate student announcements & communications (i.e. defense announcements, student newsletters, graduation/registration updates, academic deadlines, and useful campus resources).
