DINING SERV ATTENDANT - Part Time (Food Services)
Up to $16/hr. - 10:30am-7pm, every other weekend required

RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepares and serves water, milk, juice, hot beverages, condiments, salads and rolls. Serves Resident meals with due regard for Resident preferences and doctors' diet order. Clears and scrapes garbage, sorts, rinses, washes, stacks and puts away dishes, glasses and pots and pans. Cleans and sanitizes dining room tablecloths and mats as well as condiment holders after every meal. Fills condiments as necessary. Washes chair seats, arms and legs as necessary after every meal. Picks up wet garbage from the rug and vacuums after every meal. Cleans work area including wiping shelves and counters. Empties and cleans dish machine after every meal. Cleans up any spilled liquids or waste on the floor immediately. Performs related duties as assigned by Director of Dining Excellence, the Dining Services Assistant Supervisor or other Department Supervisors.
SPECIAL FUNCTIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: Maintains good physical and mental health. Stands and walks the entire working shift. Stoops, lifts and carries food, dishes, pots and pans and kitchen equipment. Walks freely among tables, chairs, other Staff and kitchen appliances in limited space. Completes dining room service and shift duties in the allotted time, using good judgement in regard to rotation of duties assigned. Works in seasonal heat and humidity and in the dietary uniform. Wears gloves for dishes, pots and pans and cleaning as required. Sweeps, mops floors and runs mats through the dish machine, as the shift requires. Lifts 15-20 pounds.
Follows written and oral directions and completes job schedule with minimal supervision. Applies initiative and judgement in serving alternate meal items to Residents. Performs job functions and eagerly contributes to the efficiency and productivity of the Dining Services Department.
