Purpose:
PART I: ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTION AND DUTIES
WWFHC promotes the growth and development of the behavioral health therapist position. This position is categorized in different levels from beginner to advanced development of behavioral health therapist in co-occurring treatment of mental health and substance abuse. As the therapist is assigned to a Level in providing services, he/she is also to assume the previous Levels duties and responsibilities.
Level 1 – provides brief screeners, assists patients in completing consents to different treatment programs, assists patients in completing questionnaires, and provides brief care management services.
Level 2 – conducts integrated biopsychosocial and psychiatric protocol, provides individual and family therapy, and participates in integrated huddles with care team.
Level 3 – provides group therapy – psycho educational and clinical groups, in addition to curriculum development.
Level 4 – facilitates telepsych services at the clinic and in patient's homes, in addition communicating and coordinating with Wayne State Physicians Group in managing patient's psychiatric care.
Level 5 – teaching and consultation, providing in- house training and supervision in specific topics and areas of interests for behavioral health, substance abuse, and medical. In addition, to providing clinical consultation and supervision for state licensure.

WWFHC follows all federal and state mandates for employee health and safety. At this time, all employees are required to have both the primary series of COVID19 vaccines as well as any booster shots the person is eligible to receive. Exemptions may be made to this policy and are determined on a case-by-case basis if there are medical contraindications for vaccine or recognized religious beliefs prohibiting vaccinations. If received other vaccines, they may not qualify for exemptions. Exemptions must be requested and approved before first day of work. New employees who have not yet had the vaccine must be full vaccinated, or schedule to be vaccinated as soon as possible based on CDC guidelines. Weekly testing will be required if exemption is approved.
