Director, Technical Engineering (Creative Design)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical Engineering Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership in technical engineering, guiding the design, development, and implementation of innovative and reliable technical solutions.Technical Project Management: Lead and oversee complex engineering projects, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards while driving efficient and effective project execution.Technical Solution Design: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into robust technical designs, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.Engineering Resource Management: Manage and optimize the allocation of engineering resources, including personnel, tools, and infrastructure, to maximize productivity and operational efficiency.Technical Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce engineering quality assurance processes and best practices to ensure the delivery of high-quality technical solutions.Technical Standards and Best Practices: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and engineering methodologies, and implement best practices to drive continuous improvement and innovation.Technical Risk Management: Identify and mitigate technical risks by implementing proactive risk management strategies, ensuring the integrity and resilience of our technical infrastructure.Vendor and Supplier Management: Collaborate with procurement teams to evaluate and manage relationships with external vendors and suppliers, ensuring the delivery of quality products and services.Cross-functional Collaboration: Foster effective collaboration and communication with stakeholders, including executives, project managers, and technical teams, to align technical engineering activities with business objectives.Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and develop technical engineering teams, promoting a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous learning.
REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES
Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., science, engineering) or equivalent practical experience.Proven experience in a senior technical engineering role, such as Engineering Manager, Technical Lead, or similar, with a strong track record of successfully delivering complex engineering projects.Deep understanding of engineering principles, methodologies, and best practices related to technical solution design, development, and implementation.Strong knowledge of emerging technologies, industry trends, and engineering tools and frameworks.Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire technical teams to achieve exceptional results.Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a strategic mindset and the ability to make data-driven decisions.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders at all levels of the organization.Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines.Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma, Agile) and engineering licenses are highly desirable.
