Assistant Project Manager Facilities Solutions (Finance)
Job Description:
• Able to perform all essential Intern Project Engineer responsibilities.
Document Control
• Set up and maintain project filing system to ensure documents are accurately organized and accessible.
• Maintain all sets of drawings, specifications, reports, and other related documents updated in construction management system.
• Distribute project documentation to subcontractors and relevant business partners.
• Prepare and maintain submittal logs, RFI logs, PCI logs, procurement log, and any reporting required.
• Maintain progress photo/video documentation updated.
• Lead the closeout process, compile closeout documents, and ensure a timely and successful closeout.
• Document punch list work and coordinate sign off.
• Attend meetings and assist with meeting documentation.
Coordination & Issue Resolution
• Inspect work in field to confirm compliance with plans, specifications, and project requirements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with project stakeholders.
• Serve as trade manager and coordinate subcontractor activities and deliverables.
• Assist with preparation of critical path method (CMP) schedules and maintaining updates.
• Manage RFI and PCI processes, evaluate field issues, and assist with resolving matters.
• Review, analyze, and transmit submittals and shop drawings; ensure alignment with field staff.
• Assist in coordinating deliveries, including material expediting, and verification on-site.
• Order materials and coordinate plan supply allotment with field staff.
Cost Management Support
• Assist with cost management such as cost coding, verifying time sheets, and accounts payable.
• Verify original estimate quantities for labor cost reports.
• Monitor and report quantities in place and maintain labor cost reporting.
• Compile and input data for cost reports and field quantity surveys.
• Review and assemble change/work orders including submittals and quantity surveys.
Field Support
• Perform basic functions of Building Information Modeling and model administration.
• Assist with enforcing safety protocols and standards onsite. Maintain and support with site-specific safety plans, pre-task planning, audits, meetings, training, etc.
• Support with implementing quality management procedures including tracking quality control metrics and activities on a regular basis.
• Complete other responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Requirements or Experience Requirements
• Degree in construction related field (such as Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, etc.), or completion of Construction Management Certificate Program, or
equivalent working experience.
• 1-3 years of construction-related experience, or equivalent. Field experience a plus.
• Construction related internship experience preferred.
• Understanding of basic construction means and methods.
• Ability to read and understand plans and specifications.
• Basic estimating and scheduling skills
• Ability to read and understand plans and specifications.
• Strong computer skills a plus
• Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, experience with Bluebeam a plus.
• Knowledge of virtual construction technology systems a plus.
• Effective written and verbal English language communication skills
