Pediatrics General Surgeon - Assistant Professor (Finance)
Doctoral/Medical degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor.
For Associate or Full Professor- Normally will have produced creative work, professional writing or research in referred and other professional journals and be a recognized authority in the field of specialization.
Candidates must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pediatric Surgery.
PREFERRED:
MD board-certified by the American Board of Surgery (candidates with foreign equivalents will be considered).
Highly motivated and engaged in the care of the patient.

Grow Here .TEACHING DUTIES: Candidates must have recognized skills in the education of residents and medical students and will be expected to actively participate in the Department's residency training and educational programs and well versed in the educational experience of medical students, residents, and clinical fellows.
RESEARCH DUTIES: Participated in research studies and QI activities
ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES: Timely completion of all training courses required by hospital/trauma program including Code of Conduct course and coding courses.
CLINICAL DUTIES: Candidates are expected to treat and diagnose patients in ambulatory, inpatient and surgical environments. Call for patients is in rotation as other attending physicians in same sub-specialty and as assigned by Division Chief/ Department Chair. This role will require significant interaction with a multidisciplinary team of individuals, including medical and administrative personnel. Collect appropriate history, performs physical exam, orders diagnostic tests and formulates diagnosis and treatment plans. Provides health counseling.
