Director (Finance)

The Wellness Center serves the University of South Florida, St. Petersburg (USFSP) community by promoting a proactive and compassionate approach to holistic wellness and student development in an inclusive, collaborative and multidisciplinary environment. We provide counseling and psychological services, primary care medicine, health promotion/education programs, victim advocacy, specialty services, and referral assistance in a multidisciplinary integrated setting.

• All staff are designated Essential Personnel for USF as it relates to health and wellness needs and emergencies
• All staff participate in and contribute to Student Success committee work and Wellness Center initiatives as requested/appropriate
• All staff participate in training and activities as part of Student Success initiatives, Wellness Center strategic goals, and professional credentialing requirements
• All staff adhere to Wellness Center department values, community guidelines, professional expectations, and applicable legal/ethical standards
• All staff are eligible for approved flexible schedules as outlined by Human Resources and as supported by position descriptions and office operations

Minimum Qualifications

This position requires licensure as a psychologist by the State of Florida in accordance with Chapter 490, Florida Statutes. APA-accredited graduate program in Clinical or Counseling Psychology. APA-accredited internship program. Requires a minimum of seven years related exempt experience, including five years of managerial experience. Experience leading a team, project, program or function.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in collegiate mental health service provision. 5+ years of experience in progressive managerial and supervisory responsibilities and experience.

Experience with outreach and consultation services. • Assist with the Development, implementation, supervision and evaluation of the operations and programs of the Wellness Center including counseling and psychological services, medical services, health promotion services, victim advocacy services, outreach/consultation services, and graduate training programs. Administrative responsibilities include but are not limited to: Administering the day-to-day operations (front desk and client services) of the department; providing administrative supervision to the department's professional, contract, and student staff; providing leadership in formulating and implementing policies and procedures; conducting departmental assessment, including data collection, analysis, and report generation. Assists and participates in Student Success initiatives and events. Participates in campus-wide and community-wide committees. Other duties as assigned.
• Provide direct psychological services for the campus community including Individual/group therapy, crisis intervention, assessment and diagnosis, and consultations (students, faculty, staff, and parents).
• Provide mental health outreach services such as presentations, workshops, training, lectures, awareness campaigns, and campus-wide initiatives. Also provides consultation services for the campus community including student of concern issues. (May require some work on nights/weekends).
• Maintains appropriate psychological service case management including legal documentation, clinical referrals, professional consultations, appropriate service procedures, records release, and correspondence. Provides oversight for the management of a confidential record management system to ensure compliance with federal and state laws and professional and ethical guidelines. Maintains and develops reports from the electronic psychological records system.
• Provide clinical supervision to professional staff and trainees. Responsible for recruitment and development of pre-doctoral clinicians. Acts as liaison to various educational institutions that provide clinical placements.
