Operations Supervisor - Weekend Shift (Finance)
Hours: Fri - Sun 6:00 AM to 6:00PM and Mon 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
What will you do
• Responsible for the performance of a warehouse/production/manufacturing sector through strong leadership to provide mentoring, direction, and supervision of production team.
• Responsible for hierarchical management of operators or teams of operators in a Warehouse and Production line.
• Enforce compliance with quality system and proper appliance of the defined processes and procedures to meet the required quality level.
• Manage production schedules and resource balancing in coordination with the manufacturing manager
• Ensure achievement of production schedules in accordance with the objectives of cost, quality, lead time
• Spend 100% of the time on the shop floor conducting safety walk bys, production tracking, barrier removals, etc.
• Responsible for employee performance, development, engagement, discipline, etc.
• Responsible for the performance of \"standard work\" within his or her sector or department.
• Enforce compliance with HSE and 5S rules throughout the sector, including reporting and managing incidents and near misses.
• Optimize daily / weekly balance workload / resources (internal, external storage and freight capacities
• Adjust MPH (Material Providing and Handling) programs according to customer priorities in the ad-hoc systems (LDS, DISS, ...)
• Motivate the team as well as collaborate on new ideas and activities to eliminate barriers and exceed goals.
• Drive the Short Interval Management process, formulates/escalates issues where necessary.
• Strong contributor to continuous improvement
• Develop and maintain excellent working relationship across all levels of the organization.
• Utilize lean manufacturing and six sigma skills to address complex process opportunities with simple solutions.
What qualifications will make you successful?
• Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred
• 5 years minimum experience in a manufacturing environment and/or supervision role, required.
• Warehouse management experience preferred
• SAP Experience required
• Have strong working knowledge of PC applications (Windows, Excel, Word, Access, etc)
• Very strong interpersonal skills - including strong conflict resolutions skills.
• Proven ability to achieve results
• Ability to effectively utilize time to maintain order schedules
• Strong initiative to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with performance management tools (LDS/DISS)
• Flexible to respond to shifting priorities and ability to effectively prioritize daily tasks
• Self-motivated, self-directed with a high sense of urgency and eager to improve surroundings
• Ability to work cross-functionally with other departments.
