Materials Manager (Finance)

Overview

Engine Systems, Inc. is hiring a Materials Manager in our Rocky Mount, NC office. 27804

Responsibilities

Essential Duties

• Establish, implement and supervise programs to document the proper handling of requisitions, orders, receipt and storage of stock.
• Develops and implements inventory management initiatives to increase inventory turns and reduce on-hand inventory.
• Ensure appropriate inventory levels are maintained and communicate with Customer Service, Quality and Engineering regarding stocking, ordering and deliveries.
• Oversees the daily operation of the purchasing, expediting and supervises warehouse supervisor.
• Approves inventory adjustments, classifications, inventory levels, reorder point methods, order quantity formulas and other techniques.
• Evaluate and respond promptly to customer expedite requests and cancellations.
• Perform analysis on performance and quality metrics and execute plans to improve.
• Execute the operational aspects necessary to assure financially responsible supply levels.
• Other duties as assigned

Safety

• Develop relationships with coworkers to better understand the processes and culture that affect safety.
• Influence safety by evaluating safety performance, participating in safety meetings, targeting areas needing improvement and developing initiatives to impact the areas.
• Respond to and investigate incidents looking for systemic improvements that will impact safety performance.
• Participate in committees as assigned working with other departments within KES to impact overall safety performance.
• Thoroughly knowledgeable of Safe Work Policy.

Qualifications

• Possess expert PC skills (Microsoft, Oracle, etc.), knowledge of preparations and understanding of financial, operational and statistical reports
• Diesel Engine component knowledge
