Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst to lead complex data analysis projects from inception to delivery, driving business growth through actionable insights. This multifaceted role involves basic project management, stakeholder collaboration, advanced data analysis, data visualization, predictive modeling, data governance and quality assurance. The ideal candidate will possess technical expertise in SQL and Power BI, strong business acumen, industry domain knowledge and leadership skills.
Industry domain knowledge and understanding of business operations are essential, as the successful candidate will need to translate data insights into strategic business recommendations. Strong leadership skills are also required to mentor junior analysts and drive process automation and efficiency improvements.
What You'll Do
Project Leadership: Lead and manage all aspects of complex data analysis projects, from defining the problem statement to presenting actionable insights to stakeholders.
Business Acumen: Partner with business stakeholders to understand their needs, translate them into technical requirements, and ensure project deliverables align with business goals.
Data Expertise: Design, develop, and implement data collection strategies, ensuring data accuracy and completeness. Clean, transform, and analyze large datasets using advanced techniques and tools like SQL.
Data Automation: Automate data processes and improve efficiency.
Data Visualization: Create clear, compelling, and interactive data visualizations and reports using tools like Power BI to communicate insights effectively.
Advanced Analytics: Perform advanced statistical analysis to identify trends and patterns in data, develop predictive models (if applicable), and uncover hidden insights.
Data Governance Champion: Champion data governance initiatives by developing and documenting data policies and procedures to maintain data quality and integrity.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Science, or Analytics with Financial Industry knowledge
5-8 years of experience developing in SQL as well as 5-8 years of experience with database management and analysis (data profiling, data architecture, data governance)
8-10 years of experience working with data visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik, etc.)
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) as well as the ability to partner with different functional areas across an organization
Experience translating business objectives into technical requirements

Compensation
The estimated salary range for this role is $98,000.00 - $132,000.00, along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate's qualifications, skills and experience.
