THE ROLE
We're looking for an Acoustic Engineering Co-Op to join Research and help investigate new technologies for home loudspeaker systems. In this role you will be working with a team of experienced acoustic, audio, and DSP experts to create new capabilities for home loudspeaker systems. Acoustic measurements of a loudspeaker in a room contain information about the spatial properties of the loudspeaker system and room. This internship will investigate extracting and understanding these properties through prototypes, experiment, measurement, and critical listening. The successful candidate should have some knowledge and experience in audio DSP, acoustics, linear algebra, and will be interested in building a strong understanding when applying these concepts to audio. Additional topics of investigation are possible dependent upon the co-op's interest and capabilities.
