Irrigation Installation Technicians work with a team on landscape projects to ensure client satisfaction, utilizing their training and skills to present excellent landscapes in Colorado Springs. During the winter season, employees will be able to work snow removal and/or Christmas Dcor, installation of holiday lighting for both commercial and residential properties.
Duties and responsibilities:
Familiarity with and ability to assemble/install irrigation systems components, from mainline and control valves to lateral lines, drip lines, and irrigation heads Manually trenching/digging Operating jumping jack compactors Gluing PVC piping and adapters Operation of small (hand) tools necessary to cut/fit pipe and other irrigation components
While the primary duties of this position surround irrigation installation, crew members can expect to be crossed utilized within our landscape teams as well, where your duties may also include the following:
Installation of plant material and/or sod Installation of aggregate material and/or edging Installation of retaining walls, patios and/or walkways Installation of rock, mulch, pavers, water featuresReading and execution of landscape design plan
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
Laborers spend most of their working hours outside in all temperatures and weather conditionsThe position requires bending, stooping, reaching, crawling, walking, and liftingLaborers should be comfortable with and have physical and manual dexterity to operate hand tools and small medium sized machinery and should be comfortable working with digging equipment/toolsOccasional exposure to dust, grease, noise, and chemical vapors PPE is providedAbility to move and/or lift over 50 lbs.
