Director Regional Sales and Sales Support (Finance)

The Director of Regional Sales and Sales Support is responsible for the managing the regional sales organization and the sales support function. This critical function provides management, oversight, performance monitoring and governance to ensure regional business is growing, branch support is optimized, customer orders and requirements are fulfilled consistent with customer expectations and market conditions. (This is meant to be a guide. Duties may vary dependent upon management.)

Essential Position Functions:

• Design, develop and deploy strategies and tactics to increase regional business across the MAC branch network and regional direct footprint across sales, account management and customer support.
• Provide coaching and executional support for the regional sales organization and account management function.
• Monitor performance to ensure efficiency and effectiveness providing needed services while staying within budgetary targets.
• Develop and maintain productive relationships with customers, branch personnel and headquarters personnel acting as the primary voice of the customer for strategic planning, production scheduling and customer issue resolution.
• Act as a strategic resource and maintain excellent relationships with MAC Papers and Packaging general sales managers.
• Review and analyze personnel performance results and take corrective and/or training & development actions as needed.
• Evaluate, develop, improve, and implement procedures and practices.
• Build a team environment to accomplish goals.
• Ensures sales operations comply with federal, state, local and company policies.
• Actively create and grow relationship with all core suppliers.
• Position requires travel to business sites with the three regions, will fluctuate based on demand.
• Other duties as required.

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or GED required.

• 5+ years' sales or marketing experience in the paper or packaging industry.
• Thorough knowledge of operations.
• Strategic thinking.
• Experience in managing budgets and expenses.
• Ability to handle stress related to demands of internal and external customers.
• Must have intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) skills.
• Must be able to efficiently use a Windows-based computer.
• Ability to prioritize and complete assignments accurately and in a timely manner.
• Able to effectively handle multiple priorities with a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, oral, and written communications skills.
• Must be able to read and communicate in English, for safe and effective performance of the job and business operations.
• Must be able to work alone, and with a team.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
