Nurse Practitioner - Quick Care (Creative Design)
Essential Job Functions/Accountabilities
Evaluates, diagnoses and treats patients two (2) years and older using medical protocols approved by collaborating physician; Completes initial patient assessment; Provides routine, acute and chronic patient care including orthopedic exam, wellness physical exams, pre-operative interview and exam (History and Physical), monitoring therapies, and prescribing medications; Executes appropriate protocols including prescribing, as necessary, within the scope of license.
Completes appropriate documentation of all evaluations, care and services rendered in the medical record within systems and processes per policy.
Monitors patients progress and keeps records of treatments, surgeries or other medical events; Provides follow-up and health adjustment of medications in accordance with established protocols or in response to maintenance care including the appropriate specific instructions from the attending Physician.
Communicates with referring or primary care physicians regarding patient care and treatment; provides patient information to physicians and caregivers in a timely manner; works collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, physicians, case managers and other advance practitioners.
Takes calls 24/7; triages patient calls and takes appropriate action, or refers to appropriate physician or office staff.
Develops health care team staff by providing information, educational and experiential growth opportunities; Trains and supervises medical residents engaged in specific clinical activities, as required; Identifies specific education needs in response to facility staff/physician/clinical concerns, problem analysis or as a corrective measure to reported incidents; Assists other staff as needed.
Performs pre- and post- operative patient education to patients and their families.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations, including infection-control policies and protocols.

Position Requirements
Education: Nurse Practitioner Masters prepared Degree.
Experience: Minimum of three (3) years current clinical experience; Three (3) to Five (5) years of demonstrated experience in field or profession preferred.
Technical Skills: Good organizational skills; exceptional customer service, and above average oral and written communication skills.
Certifications/Licenses/Registrations: Licensed to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Ohio. BLS required. ACLS preferred.
