Director of Residency Education (Finance)
Must hold or be eligible for a full, unrestricted Florida Medical License or foreign equivalent required. To perform this position, the candidate will need to obtain and maintain a full un-restricted FL Medical License, maintain credentials in the USF Health faculty practice plan, and be a medical staff member in good standing at the hospitals he/she is assigned to perform clinical duties. The candidate will participate in the teaching of residents, fellows, and medical students in clinical medicine
Candidates must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine.

Grow Here .Participates actively in the teaching and/or research programs of the department/division, attending Emergency Medicine fellows, residents, and medical students, providing guidance and mentorship. Will expand clinical services within the college, and in the community. Will keep abreast of new developments and exhibit a scholarly approach to learning. Participates in didactic lectures, presentations, and discussions at Grand Rounds, seminars, workshops, journal clubs, research meetings, laboratory and clinical training. Serve as ACGME Core Faculty for the Emergency Medicine Residency Program. Ensure compliance with ACGME Resident Survey 80-hour work week. Ensure full completion of the ACGME Resident Survey Response. Collaborate with the Chairman on the ACGME Faculty Survey Responses and compliance with GMEC Attendance for Required Members.
Clinical responsibilities will include patient care in the emergency department at Tampa General Hospital and or satellite locations
Responsible to a Chair or other appropriate higher level administrator of a State university. Responsible for teaching, research, service, and related administrative activities. Responsible for academic advising and related activities. May represent the university, college/school, or department/unit on university and/or Statewide committees.
