Director of Communications - US/CAN Region (Security)
What You Will Do
As the Director of Communications for the US & Canada region, reporting to the VP of Communications, you will be responsible for the company's US & Canada external communications strategy, including leadership communications, public relations, thought leadership, media relations, issues management, and crisis communications.
How You Will Do It
· Provide executive communications support to the U.S. & Canada GM, including internal, change, and external communications strategies.
· Provide executive communications support to the US & Canada leadership including internal, change, and external communications strategies.
· Design and lead a communications organization for the U.S. & Canada in collaboration with the VP of communications for the global enterprise.
· Partner with sales teams to support key industry events like the Automotive Aftermarket Expo, SEMA, and CES.
· Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and Corporate Social Responsibility to develop an integrated communications campaign positioning Clarios as an employer of choice in local communities.
· Serve as a strategic advisor to U.S. plant managers to improve employee engagement, retention, community engagement, and facility transformation.
· Lead the creation of a U.S. Plant Ambassadors program to build a network of champions supporting local communications and fostering a culture of effective communication.
· Manage regional crisis communications planning and response with Clarios' global leadership team.
· Develop communication metrics, establish a measurement plan, and track progress to articulate ROI for internal and external communications activities.
What We Look For
Required:
· Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism or other related field
· Minimum of 10 year's experience working in communication with at least 5 in a leadership role.
· Previous experience working for a Manufacturing organization.
· Experience managing communications plans in various life-cycle stages, including crisis communication.
Preferred
· Prior experience with unions
· Experience working for a global organization
