Our Business Analyst will act as a liaison between Messer's Business departments and the Information Technology department. Provides technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet business requirements. Seek to understand department business problems and processes to be solved and streamlined with automated systems. Work with user groups to provide training, resolve questions, assess user needs, and recommend changes.

What You Will Do:

• Work closely with business department to gather and document information on business processes, software and technology usage.
• Analyze the client's requirements, construct workflow charts and diagrams, and seek understanding of existing system usage and capabilities.
• Work closely with business department to understand future business needs, process changes, new software packages and technology functionality.
• Prepare specifications and documentation to be used by internal and external development teams for product creation and delivery.
• Work with internal project teams, external vendor teams, or individually to develop system test plans and test scripts.
• Use techniques like interviews, working sessions, storyboarding, prototyping and brainstorming during engagements with business units.
• Act as an internal consultant within the IT department to share business processes needing re-engineering on the technical side to develop new processes for greater efficiencies.
• Provide direction and/or guidance to less experienced staff.
• Work closely with Messer's accounting and finance departments within responsibilities above.

What You Will Bring:

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Business Systems or Accounting and Finance.
• 5-10 years of diverse experience working in or closely with IT or accounting departments.
• A proficient level of experience creating process documentation, data flow charts, and test case scenarios.
• Some experience with Microsoft SQL, BI, Analysis software and reporting tool a plus.
• Good project management and peoples skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong customer-service orientation skills.
