JOB SUMMARY:
Installs and maintains electrical wiring components and systems in an industrial environment. Includes installation of conduits, cableways, lighting, process controls, standby electrical systems and communications systems for buildings and processes. This includes preventative maintenance, routine repairs, emergency repairs and project work.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform basic installation, preventative maintenance, and emergency repair of electrical distribution systems, lighting systems and standby power systems. Familiar with three phase and single phase power distribution. Ability to install EMT and IMC conduit and pull wire. Familiarity with Motor Control Centers, AC/DC drives and motors. Insure site compliance by applying NFPA code 70 (NEC) to electrical work. Possess a basic familiarity with process control equipment, Perform weighing systems work in compliance with North Carolina Weights and Measures Act of 1975 Possess a basic familiarity with HVAC systems. Maintain internal documents to support ISO certification. Maintain a forklift license and manlift license per PIT program Support projects as assigned, assist with design and fabrication of process control panels. Participate in emergency response program for chemical spills, fire, medical emergencies. Performs other duties as assigned.Willingness to work Monday-Friday (7:00 am - 4:00 pm, times could vary slightly), and willingness to be on call as needed .
