Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
Manage and lead a team of solutions engineers, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Build a robust team through talent acquisition, retention, and fostering professional growth.
Technical Support for Sales:
Oversee the preparation and delivery of technical presentations, demonstrations, and proof of concepts to support the sales process.
Collaborate with the sales team to address technical challenges and develop tailored solutions.
Resource Management:
Assign and manage resources effectively to meet the technical needs of the sales team, ensuring the efficient use of personnel and tools.
Training Development:
Develop and implement training programs to enhance technical and sales skills within the solutions engineering team.
Raise awareness of key performance indicators (KPIs) and promote continuous improvement.
Customer Engagement:
Act as a point of escalation for complex technical issues, engaging directly with customers to resolve problems and ensure satisfaction.
Strategic Initiatives:
Sales Alignment:
Develop and execute strategic plans that align the solutions engineering team with overall sales objectives and company goals.
Process Optimization:
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the solutions engineering function.
KPI Monitoring:
Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of solutions engineering initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
Customer Collaboration:
Engage with key customers to understand their technical requirements and deliver tailored solutions that drive business success.
Additional Expertise:
Advanced understanding of business lines, F5 solutions, and the competitive environment.
Ability to manage ambiguous problems and drive strategic direction.
Skilled in managing decisions to minimize costs and mitigate short-term negative outcomes.
Expertise in persuading others in sensitive, complex situations while preserving relationships.
Qualifications:
Proven leadership experience in solutions engineering or technical management.
Strong strategic planning and problem-solving skills.
Advanced knowledge of technical and sales strategies.
Exceptional ability to mentor and develop teams.

The annual base pay for this position is: $180,367.00 - $270,551.00F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5's differing products, industries, and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change.
