SUMMARY
Housing for Health (HFH) is a program office within Community Programs, a division under the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services (DHS) for the County of Los Angeles. HFH was created to support people experiencing homelessness with complex clinical needs. We support people in obtaining housing, improving their health and thriving in their communities. HFH is a core component of Los Angeles County's effort to respond to the homeless emergency. Where appropriate to the job function, a hybrid work schedule may be available, with employees working both remotely and from the office, as needed.
Housing for Health's Policy team is one component of the larger Policy and Planning team, which supports the implementation of Housing for Health's diverse portfolio of programs and services. The Assistant Staff Analyst will be a member of the Policy team, which works to ensure local, state, and federal programs and policies best serve Housing for Health clients who are typically individuals with complex health and/or behavioral health conditions, high utilizers of public services, and other vulnerable populations.
The Assistant Staff Analyst will work closely with the Policy Assistant Staff Analyst and Staff Analysts to assist in: maintaining positive working relations with the Los Angeles Board of Supervisor offices and other local officials; monitoring and representing Housing for Health in various governance spaces throughout Los Angeles County; producing external reports about Housing for Health's programmatic outcomes and client successes; and performing special assignments and projects as directed.
