Job Summary
Perform various installation, repairs, and troubleshooting of high and low voltage AC/DC electrical equipment and ships electrical systems as related to yacht service and maintenance. Meet each commitment not only with precision, but also delivering service according to company core values.

Knowledge of General & Electrical Safety Policies & Equipment

Troubleshooting, Service, & Installation of High & Low Voltage AC/DC systems

Designing & Drawing Electrical Circuits
Setup of Shore Power & Cooling Towers
Preforming Various Testing of Shipboard Electrical Systems
Basic Shop Equipment, Power Tools, & Hand Tools
Job Estimating, Planning, Layout and Execution
General Ship Nomenclature
Lloyd's/ABS Standards
Required Skills
Reading - Has the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and understand very complex material (technical reports, equipment specifications)
Mathematical - Basic math and metric system knowledge is required
Writing - Required writing to explain or describe information
Planning / Organizing - Performs activities planned by others
Dependability - Follows instructions, responds to management direction: completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan
Safety and Security - Observes safety and security procedures; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Uses equipment and material properly.
Required Experience
2-5 years' experience in general marine electrical position.
School Diploma or GED
Vocational/Technical School
Physical Requirements / Essential Functions:
The ability to stoop, crouch, pull, push, reach, hear, near vision, kneel, talk, stand, grasp, walk up to 600 yards quickly, and lift up to 50lbs are required.
Safety and Environmental Responsibilities
Follow SHM Safety and Environmental rules and complete required related training.
Wear proper personal protective equipment (may include safety glasses, gloves, life jackets and/or hard hats) as required for the task or work area.
Report all accidents, injuries, spills and near misses immediately.
