Research & Development Intern - Virology (Education)
Provide support during laboratory activities.
Assist with general cell culture for production and assay use.
Preparing media and solutions.
Assist with running assays for quality control or contract research.
Monitor various laboratory equipment including freezers, refrigerators and incubators. Record temperature, pressure, and CO2 gas levels.
Maintain documentation in accordance with Quality Assurance.
Route records for appropriate review signatures and maintain files of completed records.
General clerical and administrative tasks including scanning, sorting, and filing documents.
Assist with routine laboratory maintenance and cleaning.
Attend Granite Partners Internship Bridge meetings.
Create and present capstone project.
Attend internal internship program meetings.
Perform other duties within the department or other areas as assigned.
Observe all company policies, rules, and safety practices.

Here is what we are looking for:
Education/Experience
Must be a student at an accredited US College or University with a minimum of 60 credit hours.
Majoring in Biochemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or related field.
Practical laboratory experience preferred.
Ability to use Microsoft Office.
18 years of age or older.
In good academic standing (2.50+ GPA).
Ability to pass a background check and drug test
