Collateral Management Operations, Assistant Vice President (Finance)
As a Collateral Management Client Owner, you will interact internally with global collateral management operations teams, Product Teams, Sales Teams and Technology Teams to complete the collateral management and processing for assigned clients and portfolios. You will be expected to manage multiple strategic projects and client relationships while simultaneously providing tactical support to line level staff in order to achieve excellent service standards of the collateral management function. The candidate must exhibit a strong understanding of Collateral Management Operations specific to Bilateral OTC, Cleared Swaps, Exchange Traded Derivatives, TBA, Repo and dispute resolution.

The team you will be joining is a part of State Street Global Delivery. The team is responsible for North American Collateral Management clients. You are the primary point of contact for clients and are responsible for ensuring operations are performed to standard. You will work closely with technology teams and other global Operations teams to streamline processes and to develop industry leading solutions for our clients.
What you will be responsible for
As Collateral Management you will
• Serve as a single point of contact providing inquiry and operational support to multiple high profile internal and external clients on collateral management functions on behalf of the team
Coordinate team activities including problem resolution, coverage and escalations
• Identify key issues and patterns from partial or conflicting data; take a broad perspective to problems and spot new, less obvious, solutions
• Work independently and with the team to establish firm and well-tested controls and procedures
• Implement and support client-specific service requirements; understand the client's operational process and enhances the service accordingly
• Validate and review all daily activity while maintaining all required controls
• Interpret client needs and work to meet those needs offering assistance and advice on standard practical issues and non-standard tasks or queries
• Research and resolve exceptions, perform reconciliations and actively monitor for incorrect transactions or issues
• High level daily tasks include assisting and coordinating junior staff, issuing and responding to margin calls, collateral allocation and managing the dispute resolution process and/or collateral settlement.

Education & Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree is required
• CFA and MBA are a plus
• 5+ years of work experience with direct experience in Collateral Management, Custody Operations or Derivative Operations

• Minimal holiday or weekend limited coverage responsibilities
Salary Range:
$90,000 - $165,000 Annual
The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
