What's the role?
Carry out activities of personal management involving payroll such as admission of employees, registering control of work hours, making of payroll, calculation of social charges, income tax, holidays, severance pay, income information in accordance to corporate policy, procedures and objectives. Deliver all data information to prepare the payroll. Provide the internal norms and procedures adequate to labor and social security legislation. Ensure documentation and processes comply any audit obligations from local regulations and public authorities. Provide the annual expenditure related to the activities of the area while maintaining and optimizing the resources. Contribute to the development/improvement of payroll administration system and ensure implementation. Provide guidance to payroll administrators. May focus on special payroll topics like payroll, tax and social security administration of expats in alignment with HR globally.
Align and document functional requirement to adapt local payroll system. Participate in implementation projects including test and sign-off. Define and test validation rules to enhance automatization. Integrate new companies into the local payroll system.
The role requires a university education (master's degree) and a professional experience of 2-3 years. This role covers 3 tiers. This job profile represents tier 2 of 3.
Position Summary:
The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for managing payroll processes and ensuring accurate and timely payment of wages to employees across Canada. The Payroll Specialist plays a critical role in maintaining compliance with company policies and, provincial and federal government regulations regarding payroll and taxes. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance requirements in Canada, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

The pay offered for this role may be influenced by factors such as job location, scope of role, qualifications, education, experience, & complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent.
