Who you are: You like the outdoors, working with your hands, and getting things up and running again. You are a problem solver and enjoy working as part of a team. You have a few years' experience working as a mechanic and a current Class B Commercial Driver's License. You are dependable, value quality work, and aren't afraid to ask questions.
What the job is: Mechanics work on a variety of tasks, both within our maintenance shop and out in the field. They perform tire change and oil changes, greasing, replacing hoses, shop housekeeping, replace parts, welding, and maintenance on logging/road construction equipment.
Work schedule: An example schedule could look like Monday - Thursday, 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM and Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM. The usual days off are Saturday and Sunday. During the height of the season, there overtime can be available.
Where you'll work: Your day starts at our maintenance shop, otherwise known as Camp 1, which is located about 9 miles from Shelton, WA. Since a lot of the work is on heavy equipment, much of the work is performed out in the field.
Compensation Details: The hourly rate is $30.22 with a per-hour shift differential of $.75 for swing, $.85 for graveyard, and $.50 if assigned a lead role. Other rewards include eligibility to receive a company-wide annual financial performance bonus, candidate referral bonus, and spot bonus.
