Information System Administrator (Finance)

Description

Strong System Administration capabilities highly desired. This position will require the candidate to support the 896 Test Support Squadron (TSS) Government Cybersecurity Lead. Candidates primary task will be to manage the 896 TSS T2MDS Standalone Network and its associated programs. The incumbent can expect to be trained as an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) for that system, if training is required. Additional tasks include implementing cybersecurity safeguards while maintaining operational capabilities to standalone systems. This will require knowledge in implementing Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG), using the Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) to scan systems, and patching information systems. The candidate can also expect to manage the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) or the Nessus Essentials Vulnerability Scanner (free version) application used to identify system vulnerabilities.

When tasked, the candidate will assist the ISSM in providing major and supporting certification and accreditation artifacts for the system. The candidate may also be required to support the squadron Special Access Program, at the discretion of the 896 TSS Cybersecurity Lead.

Requirements

• This position requires 10 years of experience and a master's degree. A bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience or simply 12 years of experience may substitute for a master's degree.

• Must be compliant with DoD 8140 with Security + certification.

• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose system problems with minimal supervision. System Administration experience highly desirable.

• Must be able to work with cybersecurity manager, program managers, engineers, and technicians to identify specific information system requirements that support the overall mission of the 896 TSS. May be required to brief squadron management.

• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must exemplify a dedication to achieving the mission of the 896 TSS as well as high standards of quality and excellence in performing the duties.

• Should be capable to work alone, within a team environment

• Must be able to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines.

• US Citizenship required.

Security Clearance:

• Must be able to attain Department of Defense Top Secret Security Clearance.
