Restorative Manager (Healthcare)
CURRENTLY SEEKING RESTORATIVE MANAGER!
Primary Job Purpose:
This position is responsible for the overall administration, clinical planning, development, and operation of the Restorative Nursing Program and the Employee safe lifting program.
Essential Job Functions:
- Practice the Values, the Mission, and Philosophy of Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center.
- To act as a liaison between professional therapists and the nursing department by coordinating and implementing restorative programs and communicating suggestions made by professional therapists to the nursing department in order to ensure continuity of treatment with the transition from the professional therapy team to the nursing team.
- To obtain and update physician orders for restorative programs.
- To monitor on an ongoing basis all aspects of restorative programs being offered to include but not limited to: fall prevention, dining assistance, preventing physical decline, functional maintenance programs, improve and maintain range of motion, restraint/safety device monitoring, prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers, unintended weight loss prevention, and others as needs dictate.
- To act as a resource for other Eben Ezer team members involved in the provision of restorative services.
- To evaluate neighbors and establish programs and goals for restorative nursing programs not requiring input from professional therapists.
- To be present at care conferences and provide input regarding the restorative needs of residents and to update restorative and fall care plans.
- Provide team member training on ergonomics and safe lifting techniques.
- Train, and maintain a sufficient number of qualified team members to carry out the responsibilities of the Restorative Department.
- Oversee the scheduling of neighbors for restorative services, taking into account the available hours of service. This includes care planning and ensuring team member availability.
- Identify neighbors who might benefit from professional therapy intervention and services and schedule a therapy screening for that individual after communicating with the neighbor or their legal authority.
- Assist with planning interventions related to neighbor & team member incident reports and maintaining these records for future use, including updating care plans with new interventions and documenting follow up within incident reports and completing I.D. notes.
- Fall champion: which includes ensuring fall rounds are scheduled and documented, offering education regarding falls, tracking, trending and presenting information on falls to various groups.
- Participate in daily I.D.T. huddle, CQI, Psychotropic Committee and other committees as needed.
- Complete lift operations training with all new clinical team members in conjunction with the C.N.A. Supervisor and Human Resources.
- Assist with the review of Admissions and help prepare for their arrival.
- Manage Nursing equipment and other supplies.
- Ensure compliance with State and/or Federal regulations to include completion of required documents.
- May be required to perform other duties that they are qualified to perform under their licensure.
- Must able to bend and to lift at least 50 pounds frequently throughout the work day.
- Assist with orientation and training of new team members.
- Must maintain confidentiality of all work related information according to HIPAA regulations.

Education and Experience: Graduate of an approved school of nursing or other program specific to the employee's area of practice. Current LPN, RN, COTA, or PTA, C.N.A. license to practice in the state of Colorado. Must have at least 3 years experience in long term care and a basic background in rehabilitation programs, care planning, MDS/PDPM, body mechanics and supervision of team members.
Non-Essential Job Functions: May participate in Eben Ezer committees. Will attend meetings and department meetings as instructed.

Material and Equipment used but not limited to: General office equipment such as fax machine, copier, and computer. Therapy equipment including, Nu-Step, Parallel bars, Hydrocolator packs. Facility lifts, gait belts, glucometers, blood pressure cuff, and other related vital sign equipment.
Working Environment/Physical Activities:
- Busy clinical environment that includes people actively moving in and out of immediate area.
- Frequent noise from phone, sounds of resident and team members activities in gym in addition to other common areas.
- Throughout the course of the work day, employee will frequently walk, sit, stand, and bend to perform duties.
- Must be able to push/pull up to 250 pounds regularly using a wheelchair. Must be able to lift 0-50 pounds regularly by self and 50+ pounds occasionally with assistance.
Working Hours: As scheduled by the Director of Nursing.
Working Location: This is not a remote position and work must be performed in-person.
