Store Room Clerk (Transportation)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Store Room Clerk to join our team at Sustainable Beef. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the inventory process from receipt to distribution, ensuring that all parts and materials are accurately tracked and organized. Your responsibilities will support the smooth operation of the plant by maintaining an efficient and well-documented storeroom environment.
The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with Purchasing, Accounts Payable, and other departments to maintain inventory integrity and support timely resolution of order issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive inventory from vendors and process data into multiple software systems.Physically stock parts and materials to designated bin locations.Issue and receive materials to and from plant staff.Manage inventory of consumable and non-consumable items through system tracking and physical counts.File bill of ladings and packing slips for inventory records.Work with Accounts Payable and Purchasing to resolve order discrepancies.Coordinate the return of materials to vendors as needed.Set up and maintain accurate bin locations for all stocked items.File freight claims for damaged or missing deliveries.Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Experience working with ERP systems.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.Strong organizational and inventory management skills.Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including standing, sitting, squatting, and crouching for extended periods.Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred but not required.Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.Participate in training programs to improve skills.Follow all company policies and procedures.
