Material Handler (Steel Fabrication) (Construction)
Essential Functions

Reads routing paperwork and performs work as assigned by department supervisor Drives a forklift Loads and unloads material from flatbed trucks Packages finished metal goods into boxes and onto pallets and wraps with shrink wrap Attaches appropriate labels and tags to products and packages Uses various power tools (ex. Drills, grinders, nail guns etc.) Cleans and inspects parts Collaborates with shipping team, quality control team and supervisors Notifies supervisor of any mechanical or material issues Maintains a clean and safe work area Other duties and responsibilities as required
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in all kinds of weather conditions including precipitation, cold/heat, and high wind conditions. The Material Handler will be regularly exposed to the typical weather of the local area.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The position involves sitting, walking and lifting up to 75 pounds for long periods of time throughout the day.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Overtime and Saturdays, as well as the possibility of altered shift hours due to varied work demands, may be required at the request of your supervisor.
Travel
No travel is expected for this position.

Preferred Education and Experience
Previous production experience. High school diploma or GED.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Fluent in English, must be a U.S. citizen or have proof of U.S. residency and at least 18 years of age Must have reliable transportation Must have a valid California Drivers License Must pass pre-employment safety training, background and drug and alcohol screen.
