Position Summary: The Camp and Teen Program Coordinator plays a vital role in shaping meaningful experiences for youth by leading dynamic, safe, and values-driven programs at the YMCA. This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations, supervision, and strategic development of both seasonal camp and year-round teen programs. Work with camp counselors to lead camp activities and the overall camp program. Supervise campers, counselors, and volunteers, ensuring programs are safe and enjoyable. Monitor and maintain program equipment and supplies. Observe staff performance, provide feedback, and communicate significant observations to supervisors. Monitor and mentor camp staff, ensuring that YMCA policies are followed. Provide a positive experience for campers and families. Represent the YMCA professionally. Work with branch staff to support camp activities. Handle child behavior issues. Attend meetings and training sessions. Job Duties/Responsibilities: Teen Programming at the Everett YMCA Oversee daily operations, ensuring procedures are followed and creating a culturally sensitive environment. Hire, schedule, and manage Teen Center staff. Develop and manage Teen Center programs, including new initiatives. Engage with students and inform them about activities. Supervise participants and enforce rules. Attend required training sessions and staff meetings. Plan and coordinate program registration, workshops, and events. Assist with program budget management. Support the Youth Development Director with staff and program management. Manage adolescent behavior with respect and compassion. Build positive relationships with participants and their families. Sullivan Park (Silver Lake) is not ADA accessible, which may require additional physical effort and consideration for staff and campers. Staff may occasionally lift children who weigh approximately 50 pounds. Sufficient strength, agility and mobility to perform essential functions of position and to safely supervise program activities. May be required to push or pull large rolling cabinets along linoleum floors with the help of another person on a daily basis, may be required to roll and set up cafeteria tables, may be expected to lift 22 gallon storage boxes. While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to sit, walk and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to handle, feel or operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 50 pounds.
