The Field Engineer will assist in the onsite execution of construction projects, acting as the liaison between Engineering and onsite Project Management. The position requires the use of problem solving skills and engineering principles to make sound technical decisions on the project. This position requires up to 100% travel. Job durations can vary from 1 month to 2 years.
Drive a Target Zero safety culture by following all company established safety procedures
Work hand in hand with the QA/QC department to ensure quality program is implemented correctly for the project.
Interpret construction drawings and specifications to ensure the field personnel properly executes construction tasks.
Periodically walkdown the job to ensure that material installation, temporary structures, and temporary rigging is implemented properly.
Prepare reports and photographs for status updates to relay information back to relevant parties.
Performing engineering calculations and making layout/sketches of components for use in the field
Taking field measurements to ensure correct installation location.
Interface with various departments to obtain timely inputs.
Attend project meetings and present specific aspects of the project to appropriate parties
Directly interfacing with the customer and their management team.
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited program required.

Ability to use AutoCAD
Must be willing to travel extensively
Must be comfortable in a utilty/industrial setting
