The Traditional Asset Team Lead will report to the Alternative Asset Manager in the R&C Operations Department. This role is responsible for performing various duties related to investment activities for alternative assets held in custody by Inspira. Alternative assets include, but are not limited to, limited partnerships, private stock, real estate, and promissory notes. Within the Alternative Asset Operations Department, there is a high degree of team work whereby each Administrator has specific responsibilities but will cross-train and rotate through a number of different operational functions. The incumbent will work closely with investment sponsors, clients, and various internal departments to resolve any issues that arise. Additionally, the Team Lead is responsible for assisting the Manager with training new hires and reviewing and approving paperwork and transactions as needed. • Assist team members with day-to-day responsibilities including but not limited to • Processing and follow-up related to confirmations of purchase, confirmations of re-registration and corporate actions • Preparing promissory note correspondence • Processing of note activity, bankruptcy filings and assets pending recovery and worthless assets • Following up on liquidation requests • Various projects as assigned • Assist team members with complex issues and other work as required • Assist with reviewing and approving transactions, correspondence and other work generated by the team as needed • Review and record alternative asset valuation updates, which includes the analysis of sponsor statements or confirmation forms to reconcile activity to the Trust Accounting System and to identify and resolve unusual activity • Assist with monitoring and maintaining transaction and other activity metrics for departmental planning and periodic reporting to management • Assist with the design and implementation of procedures and ongoing process improvements to maximize efficiency, accuracy and control, optimize resources and drive automation • Create and maintain written operating procedures related to assigned functions and team functions • Perform system tests and help to maintain current test plans to ensure that new system releases are properly reviewed • Respond to inquiries from and maintain effective relationships with internal departments, investment sponsors and clients • Effectively communicate with Manager regarding departmental activities and issues • Actively share ideas to improve department processes and efficiencies • Other duties as assigned.
