Otrhophoto Technician (R&D)

GPI Geospatial is seeking a Photogrammetry/Orthophoto Technician in our Wilmington, NC Office. You will generate mapping products in a 3D environment, create and review digital imagery products, and QC and data management. Prior Experience in Photogrammetric Mapping is not required.

Responsibilities:

Preparing orthophoto images from aerial photographs, survey data, and compilation data and archives digital data
Creating, maintaining, and updating databases using GIS software
Ability to learn and operate GIS equipment, software, data, and related products
Collecting and verifying geographic data in the form of satellite images, geographical surveys, and aerial photographs
Assist in creating maps using advanced computer software and annotating with the correct information
Maintaining the database and troubleshooting data issues

Qualifications:

A.S. Degree or certificate in a related course of study or the equivalent work experience
