Director of Recreation & Wellness (Finance)
The Director formulates policy, provides departmental leadership and is responsible for fiscal planning and control, program delivery, personnel, facility operations, facility maintenance and planning. A portion of the budget is derived from generated revenue. Activities include memberships to the Campus Recreation Center, facility rentals, sale of goods and services (canoe rentals, personal training, trips, outdoor rental center, camps, etc).MINIMUM:
Requires a Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution with a minimum of seven years related exempt experience, including five years of managerial experience. Experience leading a team, project, program or function.
PREFERRED:
Master's degree in related field (management, student affairs, exercise science, education, or other related) and 7-10 years experience in a leadership role, supervising professional staff in recreation. Demonstrated successful experience with developing and managing large, comprehensive budgets. Experience with staff development. Experience with managing indoor and outdoor facilities.
