Workcell Manager I (Manufacturing)
As a Workcell Manager I, you will lead a cross-functional team to deliver operational excellence and continuous improvement across manufacturing activities. You'll ensure customer satisfaction, drive profitability, and help align business strategy with team performance—all while cultivating a strong team culture and ensuring high-quality standards.
Leadership & Team Management
Drive a high-performing team by identifying staffing needs and collaborating with Functional Managers.
Develop team capabilities through ongoing coaching and mentoring.
Establish and monitor team and individual performance goals aligned with operational metrics.
Provide feedback to Functional Managers on team performance and contribution.
Promote team recognition and a positive, achievement-driven work culture.
Communication & Collaboration
Maintain open communication across workcell teams and with leadership.
Serve as the liaison between the Business Unit and Operations.
Adapt communication style to match audience needs and promote collaboration.
Business Strategy & Operational Oversight
Align workcell objectives with campus strategic direction.
Define and execute customer-focused strategies.
Regularly update senior leadership on workcell performance and strategic progress.
Financial Management
Partner with Business Unit Manager to develop and manage monthly forecasts.
Monitor and reduce costs by streamlining systems and eliminating non-value-added activities.
Track cost trends and suggest improvements to increase value.
Technical & Process Management
Train teams on performance metrics and continuous improvement principles.
Monitor workcell performance and analyze trends to identify improvement opportunities.
Oversee the efficiency of procedures and ensure non-redundancy.
Support best practice sharing across Jabil sites.
Lead or support process changes, resource needs, and new initiatives.
Education:
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Strong leadership and team development skills.
Excellent communication, coaching, and mentoring capabilities.
Solid understanding of operational metrics, lean manufacturing, and process improvement.
Strong analytical and financial acumen (forecasting, cost reduction, variance analysis).
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Jabil-specific software platforms.
Ability to navigate and lead in fast-paced, change-driven environments.
Experience in electronics manufacturing or high-mix/low-volume production environments.
Familiarity with Jabil's systems, metrics, and operational models.
