Job Summary: Provide clients with relaxation massage to help manage pain, side effects of cancer treatment, neuropathy, stress, scar tissue, and perform manual lymphatic drainage as indicated. Job Duties / Responsibilities: Massage soft body tissues to relieve discomfort and provide treatment for injuries, wellness maintenance, or medical conditions. Discuss client concerns, medical histories and specific stresses or pains to develop the most effective approach to massage treatment. Develop personalized treatment plans for individual clients who specify massage types, treatment areas and treatment frequency. Consult with physical therapists, occupational therapists, physicians, or other healthcare professionals for help with treatment plan development as needed. Set up treatment room prior to each patient, clean and sanitize the room after each patient to provide a comfortable environment. Assist the patient onto and off the treatment table per the patient request. Provide bolsters or props to support the patient in a comfortable and therapeutic position. Document treatment of each client in the electronic medical record. Propose final treatment plans to clients and implement them only after client acceptance and agreement. Refer clients to other professionals and therapists when appropriate and necessary to treat additional symptoms. Be available to treat up to 5 clients per day. Must be proficient in variety of massage techniques to include Swedish and working towards certification as a manual lymphatic drainage therapist. Must document accurately and daily on each client
