About the Role:
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant, Tax to join our Finance team. In this role, you will support the company's sales tax compliance efforts and assist with both U.S. and international tax matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the U.S. sales tax, as well as federal and state income tax regulations, with some experience or exposure to international tax laws. This position will report to the Head of Global Tax, and will collaborate with various teams across the organization to ensure compliance and contribute to the development of effective tax strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate the preparation of sales tax returns and ensure its accurate and timely filing.
Manage online tax accounts with the state and local departments of revenue, including registration on tax portals and processing of tax payments.
Manage tax notices and assist in resolving tax-related issues.
Gather data for the sales tax and state income tax nexus studies.
Assist in the preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns, as well as international tax reports to ensure their accurate and timely filings.
Gather data for the preparation and review of quarterly and annual tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740.
Support tax planning initiatives by gathering data, conducting research, and analyzing the tax implications of business activities.
Assist with transfer pricing documentation and compliance, including gathering necessary data and supporting the preparation of reports.
Support the Head of Global Tax in responding to tax authorities during audits and inquiries.
Identify and recommend improvements to tax processes and procedures to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the company.
Work closely with other members of the finance team and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA, MST (Master of Science in Taxation), or progress toward certification preferred.
Experience:
3-5 years of experience in sales tax, as well as exposure to U.S. federal, state, and local tax compliance.
Some experience or knowledge of international tax matters, such as transfer pricing and foreign tax credits, is a plus.
Experience with tax compliance software and financial reporting systems (e.g., OneSource, Oracle, SAP) is preferred.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
