Johnsonville, LLC Material Handler II Backup Assistant Team Lead Pay Range: $26.00/hr - $27.20/hr + $.75/hr upon ATL result block completion, plus $2.00 shift premium Hours: 4:30am - 4:30pm, Friday-Sunday (Overtime as production demands) Responsibilities

Ability to train on both 1st and 2nd shift until 4/6/4025.
Training will be during the weekdays (Monday-Friday)
Material Handler Essential Functions/Duties:
Safely operate stand-up forklifts, both counterbalanced and reach trucks
Safely operate pallet inverters and pallet wrappers
Safely operate scissor lifts
Distinguish non-acceptable and acceptable quality products
Use SAP and handheld RF scanners to accurately transfer materials
Pick and assemble outbound customer orders
Receive inbound finished goods and supplies
Identify proper storage and shipment temperatures for different products and supplies
Move product and other materials into and out of pallet racking
Build, prepare, and wrap pallets for shipment or storage
Load and unload semi-trucks and trailers
Maintain a clean and organized workspace
Assistant Team Leader Essential Functions/Duties:
Effectively lead and coach shipping members in safety, quality, and performance
Promote a culture of teamwork and healthy conflict management and resolution
Promote a culture of safety by encouraging awareness of safety issues, immediately addressing any safety issues, and fostering a good relationship with the safety team
Encourage and guide team members in developing their talents
Manage and resolve interpersonal conflicts between team members
Practice excellent listening skills
Read and understand production, deployment, transportation, and export schedules
Complete daily safety, operational, environmental, and productivity paperwork
Conduct and manage team meetings
Assign positions and tasks based on workload and the capabilities of available members
Manage scheduling for shipping members: approving or denying paid time off, reviewing and editing daily timecards, and determining weekend crewing needs
Monitor the performance of shipping members and provide feedback and coaching
Identify and lead process improvement initiatives
Maintain budgeted resources to maximize productivity with cost in mind
Lead and actively participate in the interviewing and hiring process
Lead and actively participate in the disciplinary process
Manage multiple tasks and be flexible by adjusting priorities as needed
Set and maintain high expectations for yourself and your fellow shipping team members
Be a role model for all members
Experience:
Experience working in a shipping/warehouse environment required
Leadership or supervisory experience required
Experience operating forklifts required
Experience with Microsoft Office required
Machine operator experience preferred
Experience with working at height preferred
Experience with fall protection equipment and practices preferred
SAP or other inventory software experience preferred
Skills and Competencies:
Ability to take ownership of own and other members' safety
Must be willing to work in temperatures as low as -40°F
Must be willing to climb vertical ladders and work at heights up to 75 feet above the ground
Must be able to properly and safely use a harness and other fall protection equipment
Must be able to frequently lift up to 40 lbs
Strong interpersonal communication skills are required
Must be able to understand written and verbal instructions
Basic math and problem-solving skills are required
Based on business necessity, must be proficient in English.
