Project Manager (Finance)
Qualified candidates will work in the regional office reporting to the Construction Manager. Extensive travel and extended time at project sites is normal for this role.
- In response to customer RFQ's works with estimating group to complete project costing, pricing and submittal of proposal to customers.
- Supports and enforces all company safety policies and procedures
- Communicates project status to management
- Establish and lead project team upon award of contract.
- Works with Management to establish and maintain consistent project management processes, procedures, tools and methods throughout the global organization
- Collaborate with various business lines to develop project performance metrics across all organizations
- Drives project risk management and mitigation through strict governance processes and procedures
- Perform regular project assessments & audits of projects
- Evaluates aspects of operational costs and works towards reducing costs and expenses where possible without sacrificing safety or quality
- Through personal example and leadership, maintains company reputation for outstanding client service and project quality
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or related field/
- Demonstrable technical knowledge of industrial boilers and related balance of plant equipment.
- 5 years experience in managing large projects involving engineering, procurement, and construction.
- Experience working within a matrix organization including disciplines such as quality, supply chain, engineering, manufacturing, etc.
- Familiarity with Primavera scheduling tools
- Familiarity with boilers and steam generating equipment
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license
- Must be able to work according to our customers schedules which may include weekends / after hours.
- Must be able to wear proper PPE for the job
- Experience with, or a willingness to learn, equipment operations
- Familiarity with ASME, NFPA and related codes, welding procedures
- Ability to read, write, and understand contract language, contract drawings, and contract specifications
- Ability to work as a team member on projects with an aptitude for problem solving
- Organized and detail oriented
- Able to manage time effectively and prioritize responsibilities
- Positive presence and effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently, self-starter, and motivator
