Shermco U.S. is seeking a Relay Technician
Relay Technician
The Relay Technician will be responsible for the installation, testing, maintenance, and repair of protective relays and associated equipment. The technician will work with a team of engineers and technicians to ensure the reliability and safety of the electrical power system.
Responsibilities:
- Install, test, maintain, and repair protective relays and associated equipment
- Perform relay calibration and testing using specialized equipment
- Assist with the design and implementation of protective relay schemes
- Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with protective relays and associated equipment
- Perform routine maintenance on protective relays and associated equipment
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Document work performed and maintain accurate records
- Provide technical support to other departments as needed
- Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in protective relay testing and maintenance
- Knowledge of protective relay principles and applications
- Experience with relay testing equipment and software
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
